The "Samurai Edge," a firearm renowned in the world of Capcom's popular game "Resident Evil," stands as a custom handgun original to the game. It was meticulously crafted based on the US military's M92F, incorporating cutting-edge styles of its era. The brainchild of Joe Kendo, a former SWAT member turned gunsmith, the Samurai Edge underwent rigorous trial tests, impressing none other than the sharpshooter extraordinaire, Chris Redfield.
 
It earned the trust of STARS members, tasked with high-stakes special missions. This illustrious creation bears the STARS medallion on its grip and proudly displays the unit's name on its slide. Its slide design, reminiscent of an oriental sword, pays homage to Joe Kendo, a Japanese American, and is fittingly named "SAMURAI EDGE," often affectionately referred to as "Katare."
